So it begins...having an over-scheduled life and no shortage of wish list items to accomplish, another semester commences and time and space goes by. Having been through this wheel of fortune a time or two before, I note: this is my seventh academic year! With one more to go, might I add...(I sigh in disbelief)
Any opportunity to take a step back and breathe in the world passing me by is welcome. And may I say, having a class devoted to this is purely magical!
Not sure which, the freedom to choose a subject(s) or the ability to connect with a new fellow student, is the more enjoyable part of our first traveling project.
The discovery of the famous Sir Isaac Newton apple tree and Michelson-Morely experiment drew unique parallels with the experience we were asked to create.

My fellow students and I and were asked to let our guards down and go explore the unknown. Much like the scientific discoveries in physics highlighted on this corner of the quad, our class is
here to explore the boundaries of our personal and academic growth and discover strength we did not know we had, ultimately, trying to make the world a better place.

The personal and professional achievements of the Michelson-Morely experiment and the birth of Newton's law of gravity remind me of the struggles we all make in order to push ourselves beyond the limits of the ordinary. We need to believe - like they believed in themselves - to push a little farther, everyday. We will get closer and closer, inch by inch, to achieving our ah ha! moment.
